Alfredo Sauce
Alfredo sauce is by far one of my favorite types of sauce. I don't mind red sauces but they're not my favorite. Give me a sauce that's cheesy or a bit sweet and I'll be happy. After working in a restaurant for multiple years I've learned how to make my own at home and trust me it's wayyy better than store bought alfredo. Be warned though that once you make this alfredo sauce once people will always want you to make it and also want the recipe.
What You Need:
> 8oz heavy cream
> 1/4 cup milk
> 1tsp salt
> 1 tbsp pepper
> 2 sticks of butter
> 2 tbsp minced garlic
> 1 cup flour
> 1 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Prep Time:
15 minutes
Directions: First, melt the butter in a pan with the garlic. It's important to do this first or else you won't have a good base for your sauce and it may end up being greasy. Once the butter has melted add the salt and pepper. Let it simmer for a minute or two then add the heavy cream and milk. Whisk everything together and then let it sit until boiling, stirring on occasion. Once it starts boiling turn the heat down to medium and add in the flour and Parmesan cheese. Whisk everything together and leave on the heat until at the desired thickness.
***Tips***
> If it doesn't thicken enough add a bit more flour and Parmesan <
> If you want a thinner sauce add less flour <
